Overview
Wisconsin Dells is an unabashed and unashamedly fun-filled amusement center in Wisconsin. The city's water parks are among the most audacious and thrilling in the USA. It's also known for its natural scenery, which hits a zenith along the bends of the Wisconsin River, where gorges and forests collide.
Challenge
The Wisconsin Dells Visitor and Bureau Center wanted a high energy, user engaging site that kids and adults will both be able to enjoy. The analytics told us that the users with mobile devices made up of more than half of all users.
Results
By using large, engaging photography I knew that it would inspire both children and adults. The light blue theme and the wave pattern does a great job to work with the whole waterpark theme. The vibrant red call-to-action button is meant to draw the user’s eye to drive conversions. I used a mixture of icons, textures, patterns, and images to create a highly visual and dynamic website. The image selection was carefully chosen, and images were considered for all 4 seasons since Wisconsin Dells is open all year round. The menu was meant to be very simple and straight-forward. The menu comprises of 5 items that a user may want to do at the waterpark capital of the world: find things to do, find places to stay, plan an adventure, find deals, and find events.
