Overview
Dispense-Rite manufactures the world's largest selection of cup dispensers and related products for lids, condiments, straws, napkins, and cones. Dispense-Rite cup dispensers have been installed in tens of thousands of locations around the world. Their dispensers are preferred by the largest convenience stores and QSR restaurants. Their goal is to produce the highest quality dispensing products and provide customers with an array of unique dispensing solutions.
Challenge
Dispense-Rite came to Northwoods with an outdated website and a larger printed product catalog. The biggest challenge was organizing all the product related data into format that would make it easy for the web administrators to update the product information.
Solution
After studying each product we decided to break the products up into six main categories. Once a user chooses a main product category, we then present a list of products that can be viewed in list view and grid view. To allow for users to drill down even further we added a keyword search functionality with plenty of filtering options.
Dispense-Rite has over 100 distributors, so we built a distributor locator that is filtered down by location or keyword.
The design called for a clean, modern approach. I chose to use limited color with a stainless-steel texture to match their current branding. The red accent color is meant to draw users’ eye to conversion-based links.
